DCB inaugurates its state-of-the-art branch in Kolkata
Expands its national footprint

Kolkata, August 13, 2007: Development Credit Bank (DCB), one of the fastest growing private sector banks in India, today inaugurated its state-of-the-art branch at Brabourne Road, Kolkata. Mr. Nasser Munjee, Chairman, and Mr. Gautam Vir, Managing Director & CEO, DCB, inaugurated the Bank’s branch, offering its customers an array of customer friendly facilities in a contemporary environment.

This is the Bank’s third branch in Kolkata - the commercial capital of the East - and is situated amidst the city’s rich architectural heritage and in the heart of its business district of Brabourne Road. It has been designed to provide all the amenities of a model DCB branch, in line with the Bank’s vision of becoming the gold standard in customer service, where the customers are invited to “feel the difference.”

DCB, in Kolkata, has always enjoyed the patronage of a loyal customer base, comprising of a healthy mix of mass and mass affluent segments of society. This is a step forward in deepening these relationships and attracting new customers, thus strengthening DCB’s client base across the region.

The branch platform consists of 5 broad zones – Welcome area, Sales & Service section, Privilege Banking, Transaction Banking and Self-Banking zones. In the Welcome zone one can satisfy primary queries with the DCB representatives. Human contact gives a personal touch while a special self-service zone with Internet access and a kiosk will help customers with their banking requirements. There will also be an exclusive zone for Privilege Banking customers, offering them specialised service and the privacy they need to conduct their banking transactions. Customers will be able to benefit from innovative products such as the DCB TRIO and DCB X Gen that are offered by the Bank.

DCB is already providing retail loan products such as Working Capital loans and Easy Business loans to cater to the financial needs of the SME segment. The Corporate Banking arm of DCB offers special customised products to the SME segment which include: Trade Current Account, Auto and Automotive Product Programme and Industry Specific Financial Solutions. Other Corporate Banking products and services such as Term loans, Export Import Finance including Forex services, Working Capital Finance, Supply Chain Financing, Agricultural Loans, Commodity exchange related facilities etc. are also available for this segment.
