bankonline@dcb is DCB’s Internet Banking
offering that lets you bank online whenever
and wherever you have access to the Internet.
It gives you complete control over your
accounts and lets you bank from the comfort
of your home or office 24 hours a day, 7
days a week.
With bankonline@dcb you can avail of a wide
range of banking services, that literally
puts your bank at your fingertips. You can:
• View your account balance
• Print your account statement
• View transaction history
• Open or create fixed deposits
• Renew fixed deposits or set / change
maturity instructions
• Transfer funds between accounts
within DCB
• Track / Schedule fund transfers
• Inquire about cheque status
• Inquire about tax deduction
• Request for a cheque book
• Request for a demand draft
• Stop payment of cheque
• Send and receive secure messages

What
are the charges for the Internet Banking
facility?
This facility is absolutely free for all
eligible DCB account holders |

How
do I access bankonline@dcb?
You need to follow 3 simple steps to access
your accounts online:
i) Log on to www.dcbl.com
ii) Click on the login space provided on
the home page
iii) Enter your User ID and Password
Your User ID will be same as your Customer
ID. Two types of passwords - Sign in and
Transaction have been provided to you. You
will require to use Sign in Password to
access bankonline@dcb. Transaction password
will be required for the security and authentication
of your financial transactions. If you are
accessing bankonline@dcb for the first time,
you would be prompted to change your Sign
in Password. |

What
equipment and software do I need to access
the Internet Banking facility?
To access bankonline@dcb, you just need
a computer with Internet access. |

What
are the terms and conditions of using bankonline@dcb?
The terms and conditions governing Internet
Banking are enclosed with the welcome pack.
You can also view the terms and conditions
when you login to bankonline@dcb. |

Can
I change my password? How do I change my
password?
You are required to change your password,
the first time you login to bankonline@dcb.
Thereafter, you are advised to change your
password at regular intervals. The ‘Change
Passwords’ option is available on
the home page of bankonline@dcb. To change
the password, all you have to do is click
on the ‘Change Passwords’ link.
You will have to enter your old password
and the new password (twice) in the space
provided. After entering all the required
data, you will need to click the ‘Update’
button. |

How
many attempts do I get for login into the
system?
You get 3 attempts to log into the system.
On failure in three consecutive attempts
to log in, your User ID gets locked and
the passwords become invalid for any future
logins to Internet Banking Service. You
will then require to apply for new passwords. |

How
do I apply for new passwords?
In case you are unable to login to bankonline@dcb
due to lost password or blocked User ID,
you need to apply for new passwords. Contact
the nearest DCB branch and submit a written
request, duly signed, for new passwords.
The password will be mailed to you at your
address registered with us. You can also
call our helpline no. 1800 22 57 69 for
assistance. |

Can
I view / access all my accounts online?
Accounts that are linked to your Customer
ID will be automatically displayed. If you
wish to deactivate any account(s), you will
need to send an e-mail from the ‘E-Mail’
option available in the service menu. |

Can
I access my accounts when I am overseas?
Yes, you can access your accounts from anywhere
as long as you have access to an Internet
connection and you are registered with us
for the Internet Banking facility. |

What
are the types of accounts that I can view
online?
You can view Savings, Current and Fixed
Deposit accounts. |
|

Can
I view the transactions on my accounts?
You can click on the account number shown
against each account under the account overview
option to view the details of the transactions
in your account. (Please use the scroll
bar to view details.) The transactions will
be displayed in date order with details
like date, a brief description of the transaction,
debit / credit amount and balance. |

From
what date can I view my transaction history?
You can view a maximum of the last 99 transactions
in a single attempt. The transaction history
data is available from December 2003 onwards. |

Can
I print my statements?
You can print your statement of accounts
by clicking on the ‘Print’ option
on your browser. |

Can
I open a Fixed Deposit online? If yes, how
do I open it online?
Yes, you can open Fixed Deposits through
bankonline@dcb. You can also set up maturity
instructions and change them whenever required.
You can open a Fixed Deposit by transferring
funds from an existing account with us.
You have to access the ‘Start a Fixed
Deposit’ option from the Fixed Deposits
section, choose the type of deposit, term
and amount and specify the account to be
debited. You will then be asked to confirm
the details you have keyed in. After confirmation,
an acknowledgement of the opening of the
deposit will be displayed. |

What
are the interest rates offered by DCB on
Fixed Deposits?
To check the current interest rates on Fixed
Deposits, please click on ‘Fixed Deposit
Rates’ option. The interest rates
offered by DCB for the various terms of
deposit will be displayed. You can also
check the FD interest rates on our website
www.dcbl.com. |

Can
I renew my Fixed Deposit or set up maturity
instructions?
Yes, you can renew your fixed deposit and
set maturity instructions. You can re-invest
either the principal and / or the interest
through ‘Renew your Fixed Deposit’
option in our Fixed Deposits section. |

Can
I break my deposit prematurely?
You have to visit your DCB Branch for premature
repayment of Fixed Deposit. |
|
|

Where
do I see details of tax deducted?
Details of tax deducted can be viewed through
the ‘Tax Deduction Enquiry’
option under Account menu. |

Will
I receive tax deduction certificates?
Tax deduction certificates are sent to you
at the end of the financial year. |

Can
I request a pay order / demand draft online?
Yes, you can make a request for an Indian
Rupee pay order or demand draft online through
our ‘Online Services’ - >
‘Request a Demand Draft’ menu.
You have to specify the account to be debited,
beneficiary details and amount. You also
have to select the branch name where you
want the draft to be payable from a drop
down menu. The pay order / demand draft
will be couriered to your address. |

What
are the transfers that I can carry out?
The transfers that you can make through
bankonline@dcb are from one of your accounts
held with DCB to any other account in DCB. |

Are
there any limits for transfers?
For Savings and Current accounts, there
is a per day limit of INR 100,000 (Subject
to a max. of 5 transactions a day). |

How
do I know that my transaction has been processed?
When you have entered the transfer details
and chosen the type of transfer that you
require, you have to click on ‘Transfer’
for processing. You are then shown the details
you have entered, giving you an opportunity
to check them once again. You can confirm
by entering your transaction password or
cancel the transfer at this stage.
When you confirm, the screen will display
a final acknowledgement that your transfer
has been processed. A unique reference number
is displayed for the transaction, which
must be quoted if you have any query on
the transfer. |

Are
the transfers done immediately?
You have the option of deciding between
immediate transfers and scheduled transfers.
Depending on your choice, transactions are
affected immediately or on a future date
as per your instructions. You can view transaction
history after performing a transfer. |

in my account statement?
Transfers made through bankonline@dcb are
reflected in your account statements with
a unique reference number

What
are scheduled transfers?
When you make transfers, you have an option
to transfer immediately or on a future date.
Transfers that are scheduled to occur on
a future date are called scheduled transfers.
Scheduled transfers are executed on the
scheduled future date. Scheduled transfers
would be executed subject to availability
of funds in the a/c and applicable transaction
limits and account level restrictions on
the scheduled date of transfer. |

I change or delete transfers?
Transfers that are carried out immediately
cannot be changed. If you have set up scheduled
transfers that are yet to be carried out,
you may cancel these transfers. |

viewed through the ‘Track your Transfers’
option. |

am an NRI. Can I access bankonline@dcb?
Yes, you can access bankonline@dcb provided
you hold an account with any of the DCB
branches and you have registered for this
service. You can perform all the functions
available, within the exchange control regulations
of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) / Foreign
Exchange Management Act (FEMA) for NRI accounts.
Any violation of the rules and regulations
may involve action under the Foreign Exchange
Management Act. |

I
am an NRI. Are there any restrictions for
transferring funds to any accounts?
Transfer of funds to NRE accounts are governed
by Reserve Bank of India guidelines, hence
only debits (payments) from NRE accounts
can be processed online. Credits to NRE
accounts cannot be processed online. For
credits to NRE accounts, you may contact
your local branch for assistance. |
